The last Chinese port in our World Port information series is the Port of Dalian. It lies at the southern tip of the Liaodong Peninsula in Liaoning province and is the northern-most ice-free port in China. It is also the largest multi-purpose port in Northeast China, serving the ports of North Asia, East Asia and the Pacific Rim. It is the trade gateway to the Pacific and the second largest container transhipment hub in mainland China.
